Cut of $5,500 Tablet Given S. Z. Poli on the Occasion of His 25th Anniversary.

This Tablet is a Testimony from Friends of Sylvester Zefferino Poli as an Enduring Remembrance of his Theatrical Silver Jubilee. He has brought Joy and Good Cheer to Countless Thousands. Who Disolves [sic] the Clouds of Life in Sunshine and Changes Tears into Jewels of Laughter Merits Abiding Appreciation. Him this Tribute Enshrines in Public Love and Memory.

“The Poli lobby and foyer will be opened to the public Sunday afternoon from 12 o’clock, closing at midnight. The occasion will be to give an opportunity to view the magnificent memorial tablet that was presented to S. Z. Poli by the citizens of New Haven, and others representing cities where he maintains playhouses, on the occasion of his twenty-fifth theatrical anniversary two weeks ago. The tablet cost $5,500 and was designed and cast especially for the Poli Jubilee. At the celebration and presentation of the memorial there were present governors from seven States and the mayors from practically every city where Mr. Poli conducts one of his many theatres.

The lobby and foyer will be especially decorated for the vent and the public is extended an invitation to view both the Poli testimonial and the elaborate dressing the front part of the Poli Theatre will be given.”
